Baltic.......

.......is what it is, here in the lower Atlas mountains. So cold, in fact, that I've had to resort to wearing a jumper.

We left the coast on Tuesday morning, eventually making it up here (a small village called Tafroute) after a day's travelling and three different modes of transport. Most of the journey was completed by 'grand (sic) taxi'. Basically, this involves shoving us many people as possible (i.e. 7)into an old Merc, and then trying to set the land speed record, while negotiating hairpin bends (preferably in the dark). All this proved too much for the bloke who was sitting next to me, as he was Tom and Dick. On arrival, we then proceeded to book ourselves in to the coldest hotel in the world. Which is where we get to spend tonight too. Not all bad news as the view we got this morning overlooking the Atlas mountains was extremely impressive.

Anyway, I shan't bore you with our tale of getting lost while looking for some bobbins painted rocks today. We've a boatload more photos to post, as and when we get to somewhere that has the appropriate technology.

Hope working life is proving enjoyable and fulfilling.

Comments:
